Ozone for Drinking Water

Onsite generation of oxygen and its precision application is becoming widely recognized as offering both capital and operating cost advantages for a variety of other installations.

Drinking water requires the precision application of the oxygen molecule in several parts of a treatment train. Oxygen is used for efficient onsite generation of ozone for odor mitigation issues. It can be used to enhance taste. Another emerging application is the stripping of VOCs to prevent formation of THMs in the chloramination process.

Onsite generation of oxygen is especially important at installations with rapidly rising population densities and utility costs.
