(Riverside, CA) – Pacific Consolidated Industries LLC (PCI), Riverside, California, has been awarded a $1,498,500 follow-on indefinite delivery contract for the procurement of up to 30 Dry Air Purging Units. The Purging Units generate heated, dry air that is used to purge liquid oxygen (LOX) storage vessels. PCI has produced hundreds of these Purging Units which are currently used by the United States Air Force as well as several Foreign Military Sales customers. Work will be performed in Riverside, California, and will be completed by Q4 2017. Robins Air Force Base, Georgia is the contracting activity (FA8532-15-D-0011). ”The Purging Unit facilitates safe operations relating to the storage and use of Liquid Oxygen by war fighters throughout the world”, noted Paul Stevens, Vice President and General Manager of PCI’s Aerospace and Defense business segment.
