Innovasea to Use Industry Leading PCI VSA Oxygen Generators in Its Automated aquaControl Solution

AquaControl Helps Fish Farms Prevent Low Oxygen Events and Boost Fish Growth

Innovasea, a global leader in advanced aquaculture and fish tracking solutions, announced it will use PCI VSA Oxygen Generators in its aquaControl system. This automated environmental monitoring and control system helps fish farms respond to low oxygen events and improve fish growth rates.

Innovasea’s aquaControl includes a unique digital valve system. It can operate autonomously or be controlled remotely via computer or mobile device. This flexibility lets fish farm operators adjust conditions without being on-site.

Moreover, the partnership allows Innovasea to offer PCI components to both sea-based and land-based farms using older oxygenation systems.

Innovasea integrates PCI’s reliable VSA oxygen technology into aquaControl to enhance fish health, improve water quality, and increase farm productivity.

Already in use at fish farms in Canada and Norway, aquaControl lets operators monitor real-time environmental data with wireless aquaMeasure sensors. Based on the data, they can adjust oxygen levels within individual pens or across the entire site.

This helps fish farms respond to challenges such as:

  • Harmful algal blooms

  • Temperature layering or super chill

  • Jellyfish infestations

  • Low dissolved oxygen levels

Finally, by adding oxygen, operators improve fish health and stimulate appetite—resulting in faster and more efficient growth.
